Jean Philippe, from Chambéry, has been passionately teaching ski for 28 years. Ski and mountain enthusiast, it was an obvious choice for Jean Philippe to become an instructor to share his knowledge with many. For Jean Philippe, the best way to teach how to ski is to make students feel confident.
On skis since the age of 4 thanks to his father, Jean Philippe remembers having immediately liked this sport. Skiing allows him to enjoy incredible landscapes and breathe in the fresh air of the mountain.
Jean Philippe first started his instructor career in a club med in Switzerland, then he worked for the UCPA in several Alps resorts, joined the ESF in Val Thorens for a few seasons and he then turned towards the resort of Menuires. All these changements allowed him to experience skiing in different skiing areas. For him, the ESF of Menuires conveys values of sharing, conviviality and respect of the mountain environment. To avoid falling into monotony, outside of ski seasons, Jean Philippe works as a lifeguard in Chambéry.
When he is asked about his best teaching memory, he immediately mentions the sensations and emotions shared by his students. His favorite sector is the Masse.
